Top 5 stocks of the day: The biggest gainers on the Nifty are Jio Financial, Bajaj Finserv, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, ONGC and Bharti Airtel, while the losers include Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Adani Ports, JSW Steel, Power Gri and Larsen & Toubro. All of the sectors indexes finished in the negative territory, with capital goods, PSU Bank, metal and power each losing 1%. Smallcap index and BSE Midcap index both decreased by 0.2 percent.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

The Nifty was down 120.90 points at 19,265.80 while the Sensex was down 365.83 points at 64,886.51. 2079 shares fell, 1446 increased, and 110 remained constant. Benchmark indices finished down, with the Nifty around 19,250 due to selling across all sectors today.

Sun TV Network Ltd jumped nearly 25 percent

The shares of Sun TV Network Ltd. rose almost 4%, reaching a nearly 21-month high, marking the third straight session of advances. The stock has increased by more than 11% since August 22 and by about 25% so far this year. The shares reached an intraday high on the National Stock Exchange of Rs. 615.85. Prior to that, in November 2021, the shares reached a high of Rs. 612.
